About the Host
Alicia Dick Wahlberg

Alicia is the host, with two really fantastic last names 😂. Hospitality found her by accident, and even after trying to leave, she kept getting pulled back into hospitality and travel because of the people in these industries: their drive, their passion, and the sheer number of kind people who care deeply about what they do. In real life, you can probably find her with red lipstick and 4th cup of cold coffee cup in hand, getting completely lost in a conversation, nerding out about someone’s latest idea, and asking far too many questions because she genuinely wants to know more.
Hospitality Folks started after hundreds of conversations with people in hospitality, travel, and hospitality tech. I kept meeting these incredibly passionate, fascinating people with stories, ideas, failures, and experiences worth hearing, and kept wondering: why isn’t there a place for these stories, especially the people quietly moving our industry forward who aren’t already everywhere online?
So I decided to make one.
Come for the hospitality. Stay for the wonderfully unhinged career paths, big passions, unexpected turns, and people who just couldn’t stop themselves from diving all the way in.
Subscribe to Hospitality Folks and follow along on social media.
These are the stories and the learnings we hope inspire someone else to say: “This is what I want, and now I believe I can do it too.”
