I’m Dejan, a software engineer with nearly a decade of experience building web and mobile applications across hospitality, recruitment and AI-powered products. I enjoy taking an idea from its first concept to a working product, combining thoughtful design with practical engineering. My focus is on making complex things feel simple and creating intuitive experiences that make everyday life easier.
What I do at HeyVar
As Lead Developer at HeyVar, I take ownership of the platform’s technical direction and development—from architecture and backend systems to the interfaces people use every day. I work across the full stack, turning our vision into a practical, intuitive experience for hospitality professionals. This includes AI-assisted onboarding, candidate profiles, job discovery, messaging and the internal tools that support our team. Working closely with the founders, I help shape product decisions, bring new features to life and build a reliable foundation for HeyVar’s growth.
Personal / fun facts
Based in Bosnia and Herzegovina, I’m a dad to two boys who keep life busy outside of work. I enjoy exploring AI and new technology, building my own projects, and indulging my interest in motorbikes and cars.
